West Country Winter Warmer

The West Country offers some of England’s finest cathedral cities, steeped in history, dating back to Roman and medieval times. This exciting Tour combines historic cities, rolling countryside of meandering rivers, spectacular gorges, undulating valleys, and lush green hills.

The Roman Baths - CotswoldsDay One

After joining the coach at one of the departure points we travel to Bath, You will have the opportunity to explore the most renowned parts of the ancient city, which are conveniently concentrated in the centre. These include the historic Roman Baths and Pump Room, the architectural splendour of Royal Crescent, and the Pulteney Bridge over the Avon. See the majestic Abbey where Edgar was crowned King of all England in 973 AD. After your free time, we rejoin the coach and travel to the overnight accommodation for check-in and the evening meal.

Day Two

After breakfast, you have free time at Somerset’s best-known holiday resort, Weston-Super-Mare. Enjoy views across the Bristol Channel to South Wales. From its much-loved beach and Grand Pier to its top-class cabaret and the neighboring Mendip Hills, the Sea Life Center, a helicopter museum, and a big wheel that offers breathtaking views, there is plenty to do for all ages at Weston-Super-Mare. Take a relaxing walk and find the charming Victorian and Edwardian terraces or have a fun-filled action-packed day. you can find it all at Weston-Super-Mare.

Day Three

After breakfast, enjoy an included scenic drive through Cheddar Gorge, one of the most spectacular and iconic natural landscapes in England. Stunning limestone cliffs rise to nearly 450 feet in the Mendip Hills. Head to the Lower Gorge and village for quaint tearooms, gentle riverside walks, and a whole host of restaurants and cafes. Our day continues with a visit to Wells, the smallest city in England. See unique moated Bishop’s Palace and the magnificent Cathedral, which provides the main focal point of the city and dates back to the 13th century. The cobbled streets and medieval architecture are barely changed since the 14th century. This afternoon we visit Glastonbury, famous for its ruined Abbey and the legendary burial place of King Arthur and Guinevere.

Day Four

After breakfast, we check out and rejoin the touring coach for the final time for our return journey home.
